Wilderness Family Co-op is a member run co-op located in Manatee. We serve the greater Manatee and Southern Hillsborough Areas. We provide fruits and vegetables, meats and local dairy and eggs to our members. Although we do offer produce boxes, we are not a typical "box-run" co-op and you do NOT have to order a box in order to take advantage of our other items.
It was started in 2008 by Vee Van Dyke, a mother of two and self-proclaimed food nazi who was tired of paying exorbitant prices for organic foods. Vee lives in Parrish, and currently works full time at her "real" job, CIO of Leadership Simplified. In addition, she has two fine young men as sons, Joshua: born in 2000 and Noah: born in 2002. In her spare time (haha) she runs marathons, participates in adventure races on a three-person all female team (Go She-Beasts!) and runs this co-op.
